Ilahia Trust made a leap forward in the educational field by pioneering one of the first self-financing engineering colleges. Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology (ICET), Mulavoor P.O., Muvattupuzha is a co-educational minority institution approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University (KTU). The college is established in the year 2002.
Within 23 years since its inception ICET has made many creditable achievements. 18 batches of engineering students have passed out from the college with academic brilliance and all-round excellence and occupy positions in various corporates and institutions. Some of our alumni have also proved themselves as excellent entrepreneurs.
As part of its social commitment, the college provides free education and scholarships from various agencies. ICET was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala from the academic year 2002-03 to 2017-18. Last batch of admission to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala was 2014-18.
As per the Government of Kerala ACT No. 17 of 2015, a new technical university named APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) was started in the academic year 2015-16 by merging all the engineering colleges affiliated to various universities in Kerala, and the first batch of students were admitted to all engineering colleges under this university. Simultaneously, along with KTU 2015-16 batch, 2012-13, 2013-14, and 2014-15 batches of Mahatma Gandhi University students were also studying till the completion of their courses.
